First homes completed in Rolleston’s Beaumont Park

The first two homes have been completed in Rolleston’s Beaumont Park subdivision by local builder, BT Builders. Additional homes, including some in the affordable range, will have titles available March 2016.

The homes at 10 and 12 Park Lane, which both include four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double garage, have received even more interest than anticipated. One of the newly built homes has already been snapped up, and the other property is currently on the market for sale through real estate agency Harcourts.

When completed, there will be 96 homes at Beaumont Park, with sections ranging from 600-892sqm and starting from $173,900 to $187,500. Land and build packages are available through several builders.

Demand for the subdivision has been strong, with 49 sites in the first and second stages of the development receiving their section titles by Selwyn District Council earlier this year. In stages three and four, over half of the sections are already sold or under offer.

BT Builders Director, Brad Tucker, says: “The land and homes in Beaumont Park offer great value for money, especially considering their close proximity to the Rolleston town centre, as well as local reserves and schools. While the first two homes to be completed are slightly over the affordable price threshold, BT Builders are currently building an affordable home which will be finished in third stage, which has titles due March 2016.

Tucker says new homes within the $450,000 bracket, are very attractive for first homebuyers wanting to access their KiwiSaver HomeStart grant. He adds that cost certainty is playing heavily on the minds of homebuyers in today’s housing market: “We’ve noticed an increasing number of customers want cost certainty near the start of the project, so they can make sure there are no hidden costs and the property is within their budget once completed.”
